Did the offense last night depress you further or provide some tiny glimpse of hope that it's a work in progress?

Obviously, scoring 13 points is insufficient and borderline embarrassing to be a nightly result for a P5 team. The fact that it's where CU is currently, in terms of offensive capability, speaks for itself.

That said, there were modest improvements the offense made, in comparison the performances against A&M and Minnesota — Lewis for one made some third down connections (and one on fourth) that he was consistently missing a week or two ago and that early third quarter TD drive provided a glimpse into how the offense can move the chains.

It was very meager, but did look a touch better than what we'd seen of late.

Colorado has to take what it can get offensively, given the circumstances, which is why I posed the question in the title. Did last night's performance propel you further into depression, or, given how the offense has performed in recent weeks, did you take the ASU game, however minuscule, as containing evidence that the offense took a baby step or two in the direction of becoming more competent?
