Not sure the dots on this note have been connected and posted on here, but Kamron Scott, the former UTSA commit whom Mitch Rodrigue is after, goes to the same high school as Mike Chandler, the recent PWO quarterback addition the Buffs brought on yesterday.
Colorado has The Colony (TX) connection (Keith Miller / Christian Gonzalez), the Oaks Christian (CA) connection (Mister Williams / Kaylin Moore) and of course the Cherry Creek connection (what is it, 10 or so former Bruins on roster at the moment?).
With Chandler and Scott, the potential for a Converse Judson (TX) connection is a possibility. I think at face value, when recruits are considering a college that their former teammates and buddies have gone to, it's inherent positive.
As a bonus, Scott released a Top 6 yesterday that did feature the Buffaloes. He's a 6-foot-5, 300-pound tackle who's received some notable attention since de-committing from UTSA earlier in the summer; Ole Miss and South Carolina have joined CU as the P5 programs to offer him in the last month or so.
Hopefully Chandler is able to put in a good word or two about the Buffs and give Rodrigue an assist on this one.
