Our friends over at ColoradoPrepReport chatted briefly with Cherry Creek DE Arden Walker, a three-star recruit from the Class of 2021 and are reporting that CU is making a firm push in courting him. Walker is 6-foot-4 and almost 250 pounds.

His dad Arthur Walker was a four-year DE at Colorado from 1986-89, so right off the bat there is the legacy potential for the young Arden.

Colorado offered him back in early May, following UNC and Colorado State in that order. Walker strikes me as a guy that was on the radar of Mike MacIntyre's staff but once HCMT took over, his relationship with Colorado started blossoming. Another example of an unafraid attitude this staff has in offering younger guys early, without outside affirmation.

Walker said that the Buffs and Kansas State have been recruiting him the hardest in recent weeks, and although he mentioned no visits are lined up as of now, I'd expect that to change in the coming months.

Walker said that Texas A&M, Ohio State, Oregon, North Carolina, USC, Washington State and Washington have all been talking to him recently (Wazzu is the only school who has already offered him from that above group).

As of now, Iowa, Missouri, Washington State and Wisconsin make up his other offers. The Buffs should expect some Pac-12 and other big program competition with Walker, but the relationship Tucker and his staff are working to build sooner as opposed to later with him should inspire confidence about the possibility of him staying in-state.
