Just days after his visit to Boulder to watch the Buffs beat Arizona State 40-16, K.D. Nixon has committed to Colorado. Nixon is the third prospect from DeSoto High School a powerhouse in Texas to commit to Colorado following teammates Laviska Shenault and Xavier Newman who committed yesterday. Nixon is a 4-Star Rivals prospect and ranked as the 39th overall prospect in the Lone Star State. Colorado now has 3 4-star receiver commits from the Class of 2017 in Jaylon Jackson from Cedar Hill, Texas, Shenault, and now K.D. Nixon. On the season DeSoto is 7-0 and ranked No. 2 overall in the State of Texas. Nixon leads the team in receiving with 18 receptions for 443-yards and 4 touchdowns. The Buffs have now landed 8 prospects from the State of Texas.
Nixon released statement on twitter. "First off I want to thank all the schools who saw potential in me to play football at the next level. I am blessed to have been given several opportunities and such. Everyone who knows me growing up knows that this has been my dream since I was little. I owe this opportunity to my family and friends, and f course God. Now that I have been blessed with this chance I am overwhelmingly excited to say Ih ave committed to the University of Colorado"
