Big news here for the Buffs that could have an impact outside of just what he brings to the table as a player.
Kaidon Salter is rated inside the top-100 prospects by the Rivals transfer portal staff, and now he's brining his career 5,887 passing yards and 56 passing touchdowns to Boulder. The one-time Tennessee quarterback has committed to Colorado and will add experience at a key position for the Buffs.
Salter, who is from Cedar Hill, Texas, has played in 35 games in his career and is coming off a couple standouts seasons. He's passed for 4,762 yards and 47 touchdowns over the last two years plus rushed for 1,676 yards and 19 touchdowns in that same span.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound signal caller was rated as a Rivals250 recruit in the 2021 class but was dismissed by Tennessee after an arrest before his first season. Salter made a public apology but decided to enter the transfer portal and ultimately landed at Liberty.
He will have one season of remaining eligibility at CU.
