The 2024 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring No. 17 BYU and No. 23 Colorado generated a total economic impact of $59 million for San Antonio and brought 44,909 visitors to town, according to a report conducted by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC.

The impact is the second highest total in the event’s history behind the $73.7 million impact from the 2007 Valero Alamo Bowl between Texas A&M and Penn State.

The 2024 report also indicated an average length of stay of 2.6 days with 30.5% of the out-of-state guests making their first visit to San Antonio.

For the final year of its current conference agreements, the Valero Alamo Bowl will again feature a matchup between the first choice from the following two 12-team pools after the College Football Playoff field is selected:

Big 12 Conference Pool – Baylor, BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, and West Virginia.
Pac-12/Former Pac-12 Pool – Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington, and Washington State
