I don't do all that much Colorado women's coverage but the story below is an exception. I've worked on this one for some time, tracking down the many people included in it for quotes — Stanford's Tara VanDerveer, Oregon's Kelly Graves, CU legend Ceal Barry, some Buffs players and then JR Payne herself — so I hope you'll take a quick read!
From my vantage point, despite the loss of Mya Hollingshed and some key players, it looks like CU women's hoops is on solid ground moving forward. The Buffs have hit the transfer portal efficiently of late, have a star in-state player in Kindyll Wetta and can now boast having made the NCAA Tournament as well as developing a first-round WNBA pick in Hollingshed.
I think overall, there are a number of indicators present within CU WBB that suggest this level of success can be maintained, if not eclipsed, in the immediate years to come.
