Really seemed like Wilcox was building something solid there with a couple back-to-back winning seasons that are seeming more and more in the past for Cal fans, I'd imagine, with the COVID year and this 1-5 debacle now at the forefront of everyone's minds.
Cal's got an experienced quarterback, playmakers around him on offense and a defense that has been relatively good. The Bears could easily be 4-2 or 5-1 right now; four of five losses have been within a single score.
Good test for CU on Saturday to see if beating up on the hapless Wildcats was actually a sign of better things to come. Completely winnable game, all things considered.
