Have to say, I like this addition a lot. With Victor Venn joining the team, experienced hands in Alex Fontenot and Ramon Jefferson, promising junior Deion Smith and utility back Jayle Stacks. Not a bad room for Darian Hagan to work with whatsoever.
Hankerson rushed for 1,000-plus yards in each of the last three seasons, leading St. Thomas Aquinas to three straight Florida Class 7A state championships. Kid's a winner and had a solid offer sheet.
I have heard that Hankerson is going to grayshirt though, so he'd be a spring 2023 enrollee. Figure that Colorado feels it has enough depth at tailback for the moment, but if someone were to get injured before the summer, perhaps Hankerson would be asked to enroll for the Fall 2022 semester. But as it sits right now, I don't believe he'll be with the team this season.
