Coach Prime Docuseries on Amazon

Just got through the first episode. Pretty Good so far.

From the news stand, CUATG looks at o-line depth...

This is obviously going to change between now and Feb, but o-line and receiver have undergone a bit of a transformation. O-line is the unit to focus on this spring:

Offensive line

Eligibility:

  • Senior … Landon Beebe (TR)
  • Junior … Gerad LichtenhanJake Wiley … Alex Harkey … Tyler Brown (TR) … Isaiah Jatta (TR)
  • Sophomore … Van Wells … Luke Eckardt … Jackson Anderson … Savion Washington (TR) … Jack Wilty (TR)
  • Freshmen … Travis Gray (Fr.-R) … Carter Edwards (Fr.-R) … Hank Zilinskas (Class of ’23)
If one were to create a depth chart, it might look like this:

LT - L Beebe (6' 3" 295), Travis Gray
LG - T Brown (6'3" 315), Wiley (6'6" 310)
C - Van Wells (6'2" 290), Hank Zilinskas (6'3" 275)
RG - I Jatta (6'6" 310), Wilty (6'5" 305)
RT - Washington (6"8" 340), Lichtenhan (6'10" 315)

TxAM rare technical

This is an odd story about a technical pre game for forgetting jerseys and delay of game.
That was interesting as I didn’t know that was a thing

The best part of the story is that the coach took the blame. I love seeing these class acts in coaching just when it feels like they are all disappearing. Such a solid move.

How the Cal loss was the latest blow to Colorado's NCAA Tournament resume

Morning, everyone. Is it a little early to be talking about the NCAA Tournament resume of a 9-6 team? Maybe. But with the loss to Cal, Colorado now has four losses to Quad Three or Quad Four teams. The Buffs will have plenty of time to recover, but just two months into the season, their path to the Big Dance is already a pretty treacherous one. That's a lot of bad losses with only so many opportunities for Quad One wins left

Live thread: Colorado-Cal basketball

Happy New Year, everyone! It's been a little while -- I took some time off for the holidays -- but I'm your point person for CU-Cal basketball coverage tonight. The Bears might be the worst Power Five team in the country this season at 1-13, but we've seen the Buffs blow it against some inferior opponents this season

Starters for tonight

Simpson
Clifford
Hadley
da Silva
Lovering

Colorado kicker Cole Becker enters the transfer portal

Saw there's already been a thread discussing this -- and apologies on the delay...Nikki is on vacation and I was out and about as the news broke -- but here's a story on Cole Becker's entry into the transfer portal He was one of the players I thought was absolutely worth keeping around if that's what Deion wanted, but after Mata's commitment last week, it seemed like the writing was on the wall

Thoughts On Last Night's Bball Game

Was unable to watch. Glad to see KJ come through in clutch. I expected him to against ASU, and he did not. He's our one player who can really take over a game, if needed. Maybe Da Silva. Do you think this team has what it takes to make a run and possibly make it to tourney? Disappointed in Wright and Gabbidon so far. Does not look like they can elevate their games to P12 level

Congrats to KJ

Kid is balling out. He could sure use some help.

Grocery Store

Went to the grocery store today in Atlanta. I wasn't there more than 20 minutes and 2 folks commented on my hat / Coach Prime. Know it's small and DS was a big deal in ATL when he played for Falcons and Braves, but still nice to see some recognition. If he can show improvement on the field and his unique style doesn't clash too much with CU...sky is the limit for him and the Buffs IMO.
