Official Game Thread: Colorado vs Utah

Interesting times for this Colorado program with a lucrative Deion Sanders offer on the table today. Exciting news as the Buffs will grind through this tough Utah team.

Word on the street is that J.T. Shrout is pretty banged up from the Washington game and he is still feeling the residual today. He was out on the field with the quarterbacks, but was not warming up. Questionable whether or not he'll start today. Drew Carter at backup, but Maddox Kopp may see some action today. Time to run the ball! Feed Fontenot!

The future is bright, but this game won't be. I have Utah 50, Colorado 17 and Craig, Utah 34, Colorado 10.

How was everyone's Thanksgiving and how are you all feeling about this game?

Colorado held on late for a much-needed win over Yale

The week spent toughening up paid off as Colorado squeezed out a win with four crucial free throws in the final minute Sunday for a 65-62 win over Yale.

More on tonight's game:

Official Game Thread: Colorado vs Yale

Today's starting lineup: KJ Simpson Jalen Gabbidon (Yale transfer) Nique Clifford Tristan da Silva Lawson Lovering.

Gabbidon helped Boyle with a scout report of sorts in preparation for Yale. Guys to watch on Yale, Junior forward Matt Knowling leads Yale at 20.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game while shooting 71.1% from the field (54 of 76). Sophomore guard John Poulakidas averages 9.7 points and leads the Bulldogs with 13 made 3s.

J'Vonne Hadley us back in action. He's suited up and warming up. Important game for the Buffs as they're trying to break losing patterns. Should be a fun one!

Anyone at the game?

The Buffs endure a tough week of practice in preparation for Yale

“There are so many things we have to work on and this week is an opportunity to toughen our guys up and let them understand that they're not playing to the standards that Colorado basketball has tried to set for itself over the last 13 years.”

A recap on the road trip and their preparation for Yale today:

A Lot of Good Football Yesterday...

From 10:00 am until midnight, some terrific games with some stellar players. (With the putrid CU game kinda stuck in between.) It was hard to watch everything we would have liked.

I absolutely loved what the Wolverines did to Ohio State, and young 19-year-old QB McCarthy is now officially a phenom. Alabama did what was expected to the War Eagle folks, but will remain shut out of the finals this year. Have to admit I enjoyed seeing what the Beavers did to Oregon, once again donning their highlighter costumes, only lime green this time, and shutting them out of the Pac championship in favor of our neighbors in Utah.

Washington did their part by besting a pesky WSU team, which is what took the day to 12:00 am. Penix is absolutely unbelievable in his skills at QB, and Wazzou’s Ward is quite the athlete as well. And Caleb Williams was truly on fire last night against ND.

I’m starting to think TCU could actually be a force in the playoffs; will be interesting to see.

Gotta love good college football.

More coaching rumors

Freeze and Auburn in this article. There were some big names out there and as usual the more dominant programs are going after them. I put Herman in this category as well and wonder if ASU will land him.
CU was always going to get the later picks and have to take a chance. Maybe we get Deion ad it appears most P5 organizations think like some of us it’s a gamble until he proves himself in the big boy arena of P5.

Maybe it pays off but for CU beyond the immediate good feeling of recruiting better than Dorrel or HCMM.

We were always going to be a testing ground - especially with RG as the AD and involved - so let’s hope this is the right guy to take a risk on where others aren’t willing to.
