Buffs claim third ranked win in OT thriller against No. 8 UCLA

Such a fun and intense game last night as the No. 25 Buffs took down No. 8 UCLA with seconds to spare in OT. Check out how it all went down here ⬇️

2024 PG Trent Perry talks Buffs

Trent Perry has been one of the top players in Southern California this season. His team has gone 25-1 so far, and Perry is the point guard leading the way for Harvard-Westlake out in Los Angeles. The 6-foot-4 guard has taken several unofficial visits, but only CU has hosted him on an official trip. That happened back in late September, and he has continued to keep tabs on the Buffs since then. He is close with KJ Simpson and has continued to watch the Colorado star guard throughout the year. Perry came away with a positive impression of the program after his visit, and he likes what Tad Boyle is building in Boulder.

"I feel like coach Boyle, he really lets their guys go, honestly. One of my good friends, KJ Simpson, he's there ... and the main message is that he's gonna let everybody play. Everyone's a basketball player, no one's a robot on that team, and he's gonna let everyone do their thing.

"They're at that high-D1 level for a reason. So, of course, he's gonna let them do what they can do."

Other programs are pushing him to take official visits with Stanford, USC and Vanderbilt being among the most active programs in his recruitment, but he's content to wait out the process while focusing on his junior season before taking the next steps. You can watch clips of him playing from earlier in the winter, and I'll get another chance to see him in action tonight.

Fox to stop using remote broadcasters the rest of the PAC 12 BB season

The Pac-12 Conference got some relief this week. Its frustration with FOX’s remote broadcasts has been met with a change.

FS1 is shifting its stance.

For the remainder of the Pac-12 basketball season, the network will feature on-site broadcast crews. I wrote in depth about the FS1 broadcast issue last week. Also, Jamie Zaninovich, the Pac-12’s deputy commissioner, has been in ongoing conversations with FOX executives.

“They get it,” he said on Friday. “The rest of the games will have on-site broadcasters.”

Oregon hangs on at home to take down Colorado in 6-point game

Oregon and Colorado’s stats predicted a competitive matchup, and it was, until Colorado’s press put the Buffs down late losing 75-69.

“Got down early, fought our way back, but we got to get over that hump and figure out how to win the game,” Clifford said. More on the game:

Lady Vols and The UConn Huskies tonight

I admittedly don't know a ton about Women's College Basket but this game intriques me. Just the history behind these two storied Programs and especially the life of Pat Summit and what she did for the woman's game is enough for me to watch. Pat's legacy, her 8 National Championships and her reputation as one tough and sometimes honery coach who gave her life to UTenn Basketball. She knew as much about hoops than any coach, man or women. Her dimensia and eventual Alzheimer's took her too soon but her legacy in the history of woman's and men's college basketball lives on.

CU new offer tracker

The Buffs obviously picked up a commitment from one of the top recruits in the 2025 class already on the first day under new head coach Deion Sanders. Plus, a player removed himself from the transfer portal to remain with CU. There are going to be a lot of roster changes in the coming days and weeks, and the staff is going to end up putting a high priority on recruiting top talent as Sanders mentioned in his opening press conference. The staff has yet to be announced, but Tim Brewster and the rest of the coaches who are making the move with Prime to Boulder have already been active today sending out new offers. Here's a rundown of the prospects now on CU's radar.

I will continue to add to this as new offers get sent out from the staff.

Colorado looking to replicate earlier success in rematch with Oregon

CU aims to take a similar approach to the one they took in their last meeting with Oregon, former Buff-turned-Duck Keeshawn Barthelemy will be active and Jalen Gabbidon is getting back into his rhythm.

Portal article

Another good mention of CU as a portal winner. FSU still number 1 then Michigan, Oklahoma, UCLA, LSU, Wisconsin, Colorado and USC all noted as players.

If you can’t read it some quotes from PAC 12 coaches “Deion is going to be a problem. If he wins some games he will be a real problem”
“They reached on some kids but got a couple good ones in there “

I agree with both statements. Solid job and when we start to win this kind of staff is only going to recruit better and better.
