Five Buffs who are capitalizing off their new opportunity at CU

“[The players] want the biggest stage and they’re getting that every darn week.”

Five of those players have stood out above the rest, and here is our look at the ones who are making the most of their opportunity at Colorado.

PHOTOS: Colorado defeats Nebraska at Folsom Field

Boulder was electric on Saturday as the Buffs beat down their biggest rival, Nebraska, 36-14, at Folsom Field.

CU Sports Report photographer Nigel Amstock captured the atmosphere and action Saturday, and you can view the full gallery from the game below:

The Sanders effect

Great article on ESPN about his effect on local business etc. He has made Boulder feel like a real football town. No idea if we can win 6 but I don’t think it matters. He has changed things and really built momentum for not just football but the whole CU community.

Over / Under Week 2 Results

Winner this week was buffticket. He was the only one with 8 correct picks.

I'm embarrassed because I forgot to post my picks, so I get the big Zero 😭.

Pick results are first, then below is a list of where everyone stands with their correct weekly picks in parenthesis. This is how I will show it each week, instead of a separate list for weekly vs overall standings.

If you think I made a mistake let me know asap.

Calling myself out

I have always complained about weekday college football. I have felt it’s a weekend game traditionally.

Tonight showed me though, that outside of the Covid year, why I can’t watch much NFL. Last Thursday was good but that is rare. This weekend was bad football for the most part.

Give me college football in replacement of NFL and I’ll watch in Monday and Thursday and any other night they put it on.

I was wrong. We should have college football every day

Basketball commitment: Buffs land Texas big man Doryan Onwuchekwa after latest visit

The Buffs have landed their first piece of the 2024 class as Texas-based 6-foot-11 center prospect Doryan Owuchekwa has announced his commitment to Colorado after his latest visit to Boulder over the weekend. Onwuchekwa still needs to refine his game, but he is a big body with impressive touch around the rim. He's a true center prospect who still has plenty of room to develop and is a nice piece overall to begin the class.

He picks CU over a final group that included Xavier, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and TCU.
