Stanford is back in it. Former Regis Prep Fran Belibi has played a big role off the bench and has the highlight of the tournament with a steal and dunk (first ever in an NCAA tourney game). The other 3 Coloradans aren't playing much if at all.
Connecticut returns to the final 4. Had a thrilling double OT victory over NC State. Paige Bueckers proved the hype surrounding her is real, finally. She does look like the next Sabrina Ionescu after all. The ease at which she does everything on the court is impressive. Shots about as cleanly as Steph Curry and shoots free throws like Denver's old 90's guard Mahmoud Abdul Raouf (former Chris Jackson).
South Carolina. Looks unbeatable at this point. Defense is incredible and has the best player in basketball Aliyah Boston (Bueckers might have something to say about it right now).
Louisville - A very deep team full of transfers and 1 long time player in former CU commit and team captain Mykasa Robinson. Robinson has done better than Mason Faulkner, the men's side PG that left for Louisville. Even though she backs up super star Van Lith this year for the most part, she plays a lot of minutes at both spots and is considered a 6th starter.
Hard not to give the nod to South Carolina. Their team defense is superb. Stanford has a lot of juice as returning champions and their depth is the best in all of women's basketball. UConn is going to give them a run for their money though the way they are playing right now. One of the most competitive final 4's in women's basketball in a long time though. Louisville should give SC a game. Tough seeing so many former Colorado preps or former Colorado commits in the final 4 though. Talk about a 'what could have been' situation. Yes, this could be CU in a different universe. Even the women's game is crazy now though. Huge salaries, big revenues at schools that can pack the house, shady recruiting, and now NIL for women. Might be the last semi-innocent final 4 for women's bball.
