I tried to see the number of our player on the right edge where all of USC's pressure came from. I believe it was #91, but could have been #81. Anyway, the effort given by that player was absolutely, totally, 100,000% unacceptable. He was totally unprepared for the bull rush, gave absolutely no effort to block, and ended up getting knocked on his ass and the USC player blows by and blocks the kick. I know it sounds harsh, but his effort was so piss poor that he should never be allowed back on the field. It cost us a chance to tie the score, and it was because of his lack of effort. That is inexcusable and also 100% on Neinas as well for not having his unit mentally ready for the USC pressure. What makes it so maddening is that this type of breakdown should never happen, even if the physical talent of your players is inferior to the other team. It's also not fair to the rest of the team who was fighting so hard against a superior opponent.
