We got to ask questions of OC Mike Sanford and DC Chris Wilson today after evening practice in Boulder for the final time ahead of Saturday's Spring Showcase.
We haven't spoken to Sanford all that much (he had his intro press conference back in February and then today's interview) but I've liked talking with him the few times I've had a chance. He needs to prove himself in the playcaller's booth, but I'll give him this much: in terms of demeanor, energy and attitude, in what I've seen, it's impressed me. If you have 10ish minutes, it's worth hearing his remarks below.
He gives a pretty thorough opening remark, looking at the entire offense by position group, leading up to about the 4:30 mark. I then asked him about the playbook/new offense (4:45-6:10) that was interesting, too.
As for Wilson, he starts by talking about transitioning to coaching the OLBs and then the overall depth of his defense (1:30-1:50), in addition to how Gerald Chatman has been doing in coaching the DL (3:10-3:35).
