Interesting, poignant, review. Is it get to a bowl or get out of town for Kelly? Had not even realized how bad they've been. Supremely easy schedule this year for them. Avoids most of the good teams and has a solid home slate with a manageable road slate. CFN puts them at 6.5 win odds but really doesn't give you much hope based on the analysis.
There list of top 5 players on offense and defense would scare the crap out of me if that were CU. That is a pitifully bad list and I imagine UCLA fans probably wouldn't agree on the order or the names. Offensive skill positions look brutal. Holy cow! QB position looks really strong once again but only one guy can play. DL looks like it will rival ours, but the LB corps is a bust and the DBs were terrible a year ago. OL lost their best guy but returns the tackles. They had a ton of attrition all over and just doesn't seem to have a ton of athletes like they used to. Outside of a great schedule, not really a lot going for those guys.
Talk about a game that is a must win IMO. This is last year's Arizona game. Lose and things will look pretty bleak. Gotta have UCLA and WSU at home. Must get at least 1 road win and Zona is ripe for the taking. Short of any other upsets on the road and expecting to win 2 out of conference, that leaves an upset at home to get to bowl eligibility. ASU, Utah, Oregon the other 3 games. We'll have to win 1 of those to expect bowl eligibility.
