J.C. Flowers, a three-star wide receiver prospect (5.6 RR) from Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian, received his most recent offer from Colorado last week. He is giving the Buffs some consideration. "Coach Clark said they like that I have good, soft hands and I run strong routes," Flowers said. "He was telling me about their offense and how they only signed one receiver last year and they are losing their best receiver after this coming season, so they need receivers. He was telling me that if I did sign there, I would be able to compete for a starting job, and even if I didn't win the starting job, I would still play a lot. I like the type of offense they run. If I went there I would have plenty of opportunities to make plays so I am pretty interested in that." Flowers has high interest in Wake Forest, but he does not have an offer from them yet. And Flowers is giving professional baseball strong consideration. In fact, some days he admits he is leaning towards playing baseball after graduating from high school. "A couple Major League scouts and agents have been talking to me about how I could get drafted so I am just trying to play it out right now, see how it goes," said Flower. He plays outfield and pitcher in baseball. I'll have more in a front page story shortly.
