Devin Gil, a big 6-foot-1, 215-pound safety prospect from Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan, confirmed he talks to CU safeties coach Joe Tumpkin almost daily. He likes Tumpkin a lot, but Gil also said he is pretty set on going to Michigan. “When I took my unofficial visit to Michigan and looked at the history, the fan base, the stadium, it was impressive," he said. "The people around the Michigan, the way they support the football team, made me feel like I wouldn't want to be part of any other college besides Michigan.” Gil will likely take an official visit to Colorado, but not until after the season. "[Coach Tumpkin] is outstanding," he said. "I just talk to him about the history of the CU program but it is hard to have a strong impression until you have visited a place." UCF and Louisville also continue to recruit him hard.
