Derrion Rakestraw is a two-way standout from Woodstock (Ga.) Sequoyah. He got on the Buffs' radar because CU cornerbacks coach Charles Clark played for Rakestraw's coach back when he was in high school. He got offered on Tuesday and is already trying to plan a visit to Boulder for July. “I think they definitely know what they are doing over there,” he said of the Buffaloes. “They are building a new facility and everything and I feel like they are definitely going to make some huge strides in these next couple years. They have some good coaches over there so I feel like they are going to be really successful. It would be a really good program to be part of.” More than a dozen other programs have offered, but Colorado is his only power conference offer at this point. CU likes his abilities at both receiver and cornerback and has said he could end up on either side of the ball if he chose the Buffs. I'll have more in a front page write-up early tomorrow morning.
