Corte Tapia is another in-state prospect from the Class of 2017 to watch. He is a 6-foot-2, 225-pound hybrid OLB/DE from Windsor High. He recorded 12-and-a-half sacks and was named first-team all-conference and second-team all-state as a sophomore last fall. Tapia took an unofficial visit to CU this spring and is planning to attend one of the Buffs' camps in Boulder later this month. "Their facilities and where they are trying to take their program definitely caught my attention," he said of CU. "With the big renovations they are really trying to put the program in a great position for the future. I got to hang around the new defensive coordinator and he was very high energy, it was really high paced, so it was really cool what he was doing. I liked it." Tapia said he is going to try to be "open to as many schools as possible" when asked about his favorites going into the process. Click here to watch his sophomore highlight reel on Hudl.
