As I mentioned in another thread earlier today, the Buffaloes have extended an offer to Chance Lytle, a 6-foot-6.5, 292-pound offensive tackle prospect from San Antonio (Texas) Churchill. He had standout performances at the Buffaloes' satellite camp in Houston and again during CU's final summer camp in Boulder. Lytle also did well at two of the Longhorns' camps in June and he'll be returning to Austin for their invite only Under the Lights camp on July 18. Abilene Christian has also offered, and TCU and Baylor are among the other programs showing interest. "It seems like a very successful program," Lytle said when asked about the Buffaloes. "I honestly don't know as much as I should about their program but the Colorado coaching staff seems very competent. They mesh with the players in a much different way than many of the other coaches I have interacted with. It seems like more of a teaching environment. They teach in a much more personal way. And then with the new facilities being finished up, that is certainly a plus. All in all, I think Colorado is pretty great." I'll have more on Lytle and his recruitment in a front page write-up tomorrow morning. He doesn't have a full junior season highlight reel up online (might be part of the reason why his recruitment is just starting to take off, along with the fact that he went from 265 this spring to 292 this summer) but here are some clips from one of his games last fall (he lines up at left tackle):
