Here's a rather informal update on some Colorado commitments...
Let me say this... Recruiting is in a weird spot right now for Colorado. There's so much uncertainty about recruits, what Mel Tucker's plan is for next week's National Signing Day, what coaches are going to be kept, what coaches are coming to CU... But I'm sure it'll be all good things for CMT and CU.
Evans was supposed to OV Colorado this weekend but went to NC State instead. I'm not super concerned for CU's sake that he visited another school, but the fact that he cancelled his CU trip is a bit worrisome. He can visit CU unofficially any time he'd like to though, so it's not a big deal. If I'm Evans, I would visit other schools too. Heck, for all we know, CU could be running a triple option next season. Evans has no guarantees at Colorado... Along with NC State, there's also some interest from Michigan State and Indiana in Evans..
Perry was at Colorado State this weekend for an official visit. He has some other schools interested, but it seems like if the Buffs steer away from Perry, then he'll end up at CU...
Luckett is planning to sign in the February signing period. I believe Carl Jones is planning on the same. Whether or not this helps or hurt Colorado remains to be seen. It could help in the sense that CMT and staff gets the chance to bond with the recruits, but it also allows more schools to poach.
Toler got the offer from Wisconsin but the vibe here is that he sticks. Toler seems to be pretty fired up about Tucker.
