DeSoto (Texas) offensive guard Josh Jynes visited Colorado last fall with some of his high school teammates, including his cousin and 2017 signee KD Nixon.
Jynes returned to Boulder on Friday for a two-day visit. His first day in Boulder was a day to sightsee, and on Saturday, he spent time with the Buffs' coaching staff on campus.
"On Friday, we looked around Boulder and what not. I had never seen mountains like that before," Jynes said. "It's way different than Texas.
"On Saturday, we went around campus with the coaches. They showed us the top spots where everyone hangs out and the locker room - stuff like that."
A highlight of Jynes' visit was the time spent with the CU coaching staff.
"I talked to all of them, really," Jynes said. "They were all there. I talked to coach Adams a lot and coach Chiaverini. I talked with coach Hagan, coach Brown, and coach MacIntyre too."
If Jynes does end up a Buff, then his position coach will be offensive line coach Klayton Adams.
"Coach Adams has a wild personality," Jynes said with a laugh. "We talked about the schemes they run and how they develop their players' techniques."
Jynes now turns his focus to his spring football season that starts on Monday. He won't take anymore visits until this summer.
The 6-foot-3, 310-pound 2018 three-star recruit says that making a college commitment is not on his mind right now.
"It's too early right now,' Jynes said.
