Random Buff Thought

As I was driving in to work today I heard Tom Brady's name mentioned on the radio. I didn't hear any of the context, but I started to think about Colorado Buff Football Players that have won Super Bowls with Brady at QB. I don't know if there were any former Buffs on Tampa Bay's team last year, but the players I could think of off the top of my head were all Patriots :

• Ben Kelly - DB
• Tom Ashworth - OL
• Christian Fauria - TE
• Daniel Graham - TE
• Ted Johnson - LB
• Nate Solder - OL

Have to believe there are more that I didn't think of. Damn, some of those guys ( most of them ) played for CU when the Buffs were a team to be reckoned with. I think I remember another Buff offensive lineman that played when Ashworth was there, but I can't recall his name. Of course, Chad Brown played with Brady at New England, but he barely missed out on a ring due to injury ( I think ).

Anyway, it's amazing that CU has so many former NE Patriots with Super Bowl rings. Some of those players have more than 1 ring.

It's also amazing that a QB still playing, and playing at top 5 or 6 level can be the link to guys who played at CU in the mid to late 90s. I hope someone will add another name or two, or ten.
