Dear Buffs Nation,
I hope this message finds you well. After celebrating 83 trips around our sun, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey life has offered-and the cherished friendships that have shaped my story. As you may remember, I have been fighting a rare form of cancer for almost seven years. Your ongoing support has helped to greatly reduce the cost of my copays and other medical expenses, relieving my anxiety.
Recently, I was deeply touched when a dear friend surprised me with an invitation to visit him in Buenos Aires, a destination that has long been on my bucket list. His generosity covers nearly all my expenses, leaving just one final hurdle: the cost of airfare, which is about $1,500.
This opportunity means more than a simple trip. I’ve known my friend since 1988 and have shared many ups and downs with him. We call each other “brothers from different mothers.” Years ago, my friend and I shared unforgettable adventures together-exploring New Zealand, wandering through Scotland and Amsterdam, and savoring wines in California and Oregon. Life’s twists and turns have kept us apart for too long, and this reunion would be a dream come true, rekindling the spirit of adventure and friendship that has enriched my life.
I know this is a long shot, but I’m reaching out with hope and gratitude. If you feel moved to help me take this journey, your support-no matter the amount-would mean the world to me.
