@Ryan Young we have been having an ongoing conversation around the Rivals team recruiting rankings, and what the best way is to get a clear picture of the quality of players CU is bringing in. We look at the team rankings and see Colorado is actually higher than most of us would expect, essentially hanging around the low 20's.
@OhioBuffs has made a good case for always looking at who has offered a player, which along with other analysis can create a decent snapshot of a player. A number of people also think the best way to evaluate a class is purely by average stars, mainly because the points method can be skewed by classes with large numbers. One can also evaluate based on average RR.
My issue with looking only at the average number of stars is it doesn't take in to account factors that can increase a team's points score, such as getting a bonus for having a Rivals 250 member in a given class. I am interested to know your take on this.
