Why did you pick Colorado?
"All of the coaches are great. The facilities are amazing. The feeling is electric. Something in the atmosphere is special. I feel there is something special going on at Colorado."
What was the reaction from the staff when you committed?
"Coach Mac was pumped up. I called him first. He was just excited to have me on board. I think it was around the time when all of the other guys committed in a two week period."
What other schools were you considering?
"Iowa State and Fresno State."
Are you still hearing from other schools?
"I'm honestly not sure. I am 100% committed to playing in Boulder so I don't really know to be honest."
What position do you expect to play there?
"They offered me as an athlete. I will play whatever they want me to play. I just want to be a part to help out."
Where do you think you'll end up position wise?
"My hero has been (Rob) Gronkowski ever since I knew the game. I've only been around it for a year or so. Gronkowski was kind of someone that was a good role model for me. Really I'm trying to find a cool way say I'll play wherever."
With one year of football experience, what did you play before?
"I'm from Australia and I just moved so before that I played rugby in Australia. That is what I played and I started this year."
How do you compare the two sports?
"There are a lot of similarities. There is a lot of hard hitting and contact. Football is more explosive. It is cool how you can get a good get off every snap."
What was the hardest part of the transition?
"Definitely having pads on but I can't complain running around with armor on."
Are you visiting Boulder any time soon?
"Yeah, definitely but I don't really know when yet. I was going to go to their BBQ but I'm going home to Australia for ten days."
How did you end up making the move to the US?
"About two years ago, I was on holiday with my family in America and I went to a Notre Dame (football) camp. My dad wanted to check out the camp and I basically wrote myself down as a tight end and starting playing. I really enjoyed it. The coaches said I should get some film to them and that I should start thinking about playing. I went home and the conversation came up about pursuing college football. When I visited America on a basketball tour six months later, I was looking at a few high schools."
