Couple of notes:
- The Buffs are still in hot pursuit of De'Rone Davis. If they land him, they're done for 2016. Why, you ask?
- The staff is operating under the assumption that Xavier Johnson will be returning to Boulder after a redshirt year. There was a lot of speculation last season, and with his recent injury, that Johnson was a transfer candidate. In speaking with over a dozen college coaches in Long Island, they all agreed that Johnson's best choice would be to stay in Boulder.
- Backup plans for Davis include MJ Cage (who is nearly a SDSU lock), with a few other names that I can't find written down at the moment. However, they are all-in for De'Ron.
- Tim Harrison is no longer a real target for the Buffs.
- Alex Barcello, the Arizona PG target for 2017, played pretty miserable in front of the staff this week. Still, the Buffs (and plenty of others too, by the way) believe in his talent and will continue to recruit him.
- Justinian Jessup was a monster this week in Los Angeles, and at least 15 schools and/or scouts reached out to me to learn more about him. He's on the cusp of really blowing up. The staff still loves him, but simply put, might not have room for him in 2016.
