What is the board's opinion of him? Finally got a chance to look at his high school film. He had a lot of nice offensive moves for sure and some decent ball handling (a little cross over, behind the back, a little scissor step) for a guy his size like one would expect from a Euro. Obviously a confident shooter with the number of shots he took from deep in the highlights. Played a lot of high post and showed excellent vision in the passing game. In fact, his cross court bounce pass to a layup was a thing of beauty if not surprising altogether (not sure I've ever seen someone try a bounce pass cross court past a defender in transition from the other end of the court). Only had a few dunks in the highlight and deferred to taking it to the glass a la Scott. He did show the ability to go to his right which is good considering he's a lefty. Excellent spin moves to the basket and a nice up and under move.
In his JUCO film, he showed the ability to post up with back to the basket moves. Had decent stats at 8.5/5.5 per game if not overwhelming. I didn't realize he missed this season with an injury and returned to Bosnia to improve his game. I guess it's nice that he will be a sophomore with 3 years to play 3, but it would have been nice to see him playing beside Torren Jones.
What do people think about his addition? He was a non qualifier out of high school so he had to go JUCO. He got a few offers after his freshman season. It seems he was headed towards a big sophomore season before the injury and might have garnered several more offers. Is he going to give us what we didn't get consistently from Thomas? Not the best athlete but definitely a "4" and not a tweener.
In addition, anybody know where Torren Jones is going? Talk about a guy who would be a nice addition.
