Colorado's 9th and 10th portal commitments come from Kentucky transfers and twin brothers Keaten and Destin Wade. The former four-star prospects had plenty of options out of high school but opted to go with the Wildcats as Destin was recruited as a quarterback by that program. Most other schools viewed him as a defensive back long term.
Destin started the Music City Bowl last year but struggled a bit in his first collegiate appearance throwing two interceptions with 16 completions and 98 yards. He did not make an appearance this year. His family has voiced displeasure with Kentucky this season citing promises that weren't kept by the staff at UK.
Keaten was a member of the Rivals250 as an outside linebacker and has had plenty of success in two seasons in Lexington. He played in all 12 games this season and recorded 35 tackles to go with 3 tackles for loss, a sack and three quarterback hurries.
Though he has never started, Keaten has played in 25 games and has 51 career tackles to go with 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
