Dorrell stopped by to visit RB Victor Venn, LB Aubrey Smith and OL Carter Edwards.
The latter visit is interesting, given Dorrell was joined by interim OL coach William Vlachos (who's sporting some slick cowboy boots). For one, it illustrates that Edwards is not a solely Rodrigue recruit (as was the case with the now de-committed McKale Boley).
Both Travis Gray and Edwards, CU's remaining OL commits for 2021, appear to be strong even after Rodrigue has left.
As for Vlachos' presence, one could infer that Dorrell is bringing him along for starters to offer some stability as we approach signing day but also because Vlachos has a real shot to become full-time OL coach. I've heard the players like him a lot and not to speculate too far, but retaining him, a cheaper option, could/would allow for more allocation of $ to go to an offensive coordinator.
