Great game. Two teams separated by 2 letters and won by 2 points in 3 OTs. Both teams came in with the same record (6-6) and came out with equal amount of respect. Makes me yearn for clever offensive coordination. Can't imagine CU scoring 50+ points against anyone.
My only gripe, ESPN gave offensive player of the game award to Jefferson with 3 minutes left. Had not seen the whole game, but thought handing out an award that early seemed fool hearty. Yes, Arkansas was up by 15 points but winning was definitely no lock. I thought to myself, what if the KU QB pulls out a miracle. How stupid would giving that award look!?! That almost came to fruition as KU made a miracle comeback and almost won the game. Their QB Daniels might have been the player of the game regardless. Both players were at worst equally deserving and the winner should win it. Stupid, stupid, stupid, to award someone player of the game before the game is finished. Especially that early!
