Devin Grant was a nice get for the Buffs out of San Antonio, Texas, for the 2020 class and we hadn't heard much of him since he arrived on campus, certainly not as much as a Christian Gonzalez or Brenden Rice, both of whom were thrust into starring roles with the team quite fast.

But Grant now is seeing his opportunity to get on the field, as injuries to Joshka Gustav, Guy Thomas and Jamar Montgomery have made him the next man up.

Gustav is done for the year, while Thomas and Montgomery have "a chance" to play at Utah. Grant's appearance at UCLA was not mistake-free but he made five tackles, while the following week, he started against UW.

All in all, he's getting valuable early experience. He very well could be a guy that CU depends on in a year or two at OLB. Interested to see how he continues to develop.
