1. Yeah, you want to chew clock, but with the Beavs sitting on 3 TO's, that's not gonna happen if you just run 3 dive plays into the line . . . and do nothing to disguise it. Oregon State had everybody except Sam Noyer lined up in the box to stop the run.

So knowing that OSU is gonna stop the clock anyway, why not sneak a TE downfield or a RB out of the backfield and/or run some quick play-action stuff? Or give Lewis an easy pass read? If it's there, you throw it. If it's not, hurl it into the stands. I dunno. I guess the percentages say run it. But they're gonna call a TO anyway, so an incomplete pass doesn't hurt. A sack? I guess that's why I don't coach. But we punted anyway, which led to . . .

2. . . . the final few seconds. Lotta second-guessing going on, but CU did keep them out of FG range while defending the Hail Mary. The kid just hit a 60 yarder - about 10 yards past his career best. You'd like to think that it would take more than 5 seconds to get into FG range. It does. Kid just hit a moon shot.

Great win, regardless. Oregon State did beat Utah and USC, so it's OK to be impressed.
