This is a follow-up question to the thread about Phil D's comments to the Board of Regents. I try to be objective, and try to remember that athletics are a part of higher education, but it REALLY seems that CU has had an inordinately large number of EXTREMELY inept people at the highest levels of authority over the past 20 years. Why have so many of them been ABSOLUTELY clueless about athletics? Is it like this at most large universities? Are they all run by eggheads or CU a magnet for head-in-the-sand type administrators? I'd really like to know why it has been so painfully bad for so long. Thanks for explaining this to me.
