- The Buffs have hired seven assistant coaches officially. Travares Tillman will be named defensive backs coach (Summers will coach safeties). So two more openings, and the positions open are tight ends and outside linebacker. No scoop on my end on the last two openings but should be filled sometime soon.. You'd hope in the next week before the dead period ends.
- Recruiting ops guys Brad Forsyth and Adam Toyama were let go by Tucker. Toyama was a MacIntyre guy from SJSU, and Forsyth joined in August of 2016 after a long stint in the NFL working in scouting.
- The new director of player personnel is Geoff Martzen, who held the same position at UCLA under Chip Kelly. He's also spent time at CSU and BYU. Martzen is currently performing the duties previously held by Forsyth and Toyama. They'll hire a new director of recruiting to help Martzen.
