Three Colorado targets, all of whom having recently completed official visits in Boulder, have released Top Schools lists that indicate the Buffs are a finalist program in consideration.

Let's start with the big bopper, Mr. Justice Finkley, who plans to name a Top 4 on the Fourth of July. A fair bet would assume that list will be comprised of the programs he recently took official visits to: Alabama, Colorado, Michigan and Texas.

Finkley is without question the highest rated player on Colorado's boards currently. He seems like he's taking his time in terms of arriving at a decision day. He's in no position to rush given his high profile.

All indications pointed to the Buffs taking very nice care of he and his family when they visited Boulder recently, but frankly, the same could probably be said of Michigan, Texas and Alabama.

It's tough to call the race at this point but at the very minimum, Colorado looks to be a program in final consideration for him.

Next is Dallas Skyline cornerback Anthony Davis. The Buffaloes are in a top three with Southern Methodist and Kansas. I mean no disrespect to Davis — he has a respectable offer sheet and good film, but Demetrice Martin definitely was hired at Colorado with being well-known for being able to land blue chip guys.

In the 2021 cycle, he offered and went after a number of four-stars, but for 2022, I don't believe he's gone after a lone guy higher than a three-star. Ultimately, rankings/stars aren't everything, but I have noticed that difference from this year as compared to last. There seemed to be at least more attempts to get in the conversation with bigger name guys.

Finally, we have Texas defensive lineman Aaron Austin. Austin I admit has been one of the more slippery guys to track down for an interview this summer, but I have heard his official in Boulder a few days ago went well and that Colorado is high on his list.

SMU and former Buff Chidera Uzo-Diribe have been recruiting him hard, as well.

....

As for a couple bonuses, here's what Carlton Madden had to say recently regarding his de-commitment from Colorado. He names Ole Miss, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Wazzu as the programs giving him something to think about but notably doesn't shut the door on Colorado.

And then there is California OLB Eoghan Kerry. I won't claim that what I'm about to say is anything but my gut feeling, but given the extent to which CU and Brian Michalowski have recruited him, it seems reasonable to suggest that the Buffs are No. 1 with him right now.

As is the case with everyone else I mentioned here in this thread, Kerry took an OV to Colorado recently, too.
