Those teams simply have more of them and it finally came home to roost in the last 30 days. Emotion and fight only gets you so far. Our guys simply looked gassed. And hurt apparently.
Lindsay is a tough gutty player. We need 2-3 more RBs who are as tough . . . and a bit more talented. Likewise, Sefo is the toughest hombre on the field. Just not physically talented enough at the QB position. QB (hopefully) gets an upgrade as well next year.
Does HCMM deserve the Coach of the year? Damn straight - anybody who can take that crew and win the South deserves every award known to man.
Leavitt? He was never going to stay long-term. I'd just assume rip that Band Aid off sooner rather than later.
I've already turned the page. In a week, nobody will remember who won the 2016 Alamo Bowl - except residents of Stillwater and Boulder.
