CUSportsReport - Junior PG Trent Perry building strong relationship with Colorado
Trent Perry is taking the recruiting process slow, but the 2024 guard took an official visit to Colorado in the fall.

Trent Perry has been one of the top players in Southern California this season. His team has gone 25-1 so far, and Perry is the point guard leading the way for Harvard-Westlake out in Los Angeles. The 6-foot-4 guard has taken several unofficial visits, but only CU has hosted him on an official trip. That happened back in late September, and he has continued to keep tabs on the Buffs since then. He is close with KJ Simpson and has continued to watch the Colorado star guard throughout the year. Perry came away with a positive impression of the program after his visit, and he likes what Tad Boyle is building in Boulder.
"I feel like coach Boyle, he really lets their guys go, honestly. One of my good friends, KJ Simpson, he's there ... and the main message is that he's gonna let everybody play. Everyone's a basketball player, no one's a robot on that team, and he's gonna let everyone do their thing.
"They're at that high-D1 level for a reason. So, of course, he's gonna let them do what they can do."
Other programs are pushing him to take official visits with Stanford, USC and Vanderbilt being among the most active programs in his recruitment, but he's content to wait out the process while focusing on his junior season before taking the next steps. You can watch clips of him playing from earlier in the winter, and I'll get another chance to see him in action tonight.
