KU at TT

The #23 Red Raiders have really taken to the #6 Jayhawks tonight and lead 63-43 with 5m left in the game. TT is now 18-6 (7-4) and KU is 19-6 (7-5).
Bill self just got tossed (on purpose) as the crowd chants "overrated".
Man, Lubbock will not be an easy place to play and they have a beautiful new state-of-the-art facility (15k) they opened a few years ago.
TT hired Grant McCasland from North Texas State where he was 211-89 in 6 years. and he looks to be a good hire for the RR's.
McCaslin is a disciple of Baylor's Scott Drew.

Way too early top 25

Some of these look more like rewards for last year than a realistic look at this year. I always enjoy these though. It’s fun to see how the year ends compared to the way too early predictions.

BIG XII well represented actually. Only 2 in a position to make a playoff spot and one would get knocked off but we have 5 teams in here

Official Game Thread: Colorado vs No. 8 Arizona

The one we've all been waiting for! Feels like a make or break game for CU's tournament chances with just one (very tenuous) Quad 1 win on the resume at the moment. Buffs putting their 13-0 record at home on the line against Arizona. Wildcats coming off of a triple OT battle with Utah on Thursday night.

Injury note: Luke O'Brien (ankle) is warming up with a brace on, so appears he will suit up. Also dressed on Thursday but didn't play, so we'll see.

Starters for CU:
KJ Simpson
J'Vonne Hadley
Cody Williams
Tristan da Silva
Eddie Lampkin Jr.

For Arizona:
Kylan Boswell
Caleb Love (Leading scorer: 18.9 PPG; 25.2 PPG in Pac-12 road games)
Pelle Larsson
Keshad Johnson
Oumar Ballo

BIG XII 24/25 results

This keeps getting into different threads due to good discussions. Thought I’d put this hear so we have it as we close in on the season and throughout. I like to see how people change as the team wins or loses.

I looked last night while hanging out with friends who are all Buff donors and ticket holders during the Super Bowl. Most of the night was about college football and specifically the Buffs. No one there was an NFL guy except playoffs and Super Bowl get togethers.

Over Under we found right now is 4.5. I was kind of surprised it wasn’t 5.5 given the optimism of CU fans. I think we all agreed it’s finally a year the over feels really good if you can get 4.5. Most said 5-8 wins. Consensus was 6-7 is probably most accurate. It’s where I land.

How about the rest of you

Super Bowl Thread

I know some of you could give a s**t about the game but I found this pretty dang cool so I will start with this.
ESPN's Post Season Countdown did a great piece on Steve McMichael, the great DL for the 86 Bears. He is suffering from ALS and this giant of a man is now just a shell of himself. Man, his wife Misty is one bad ass and strong woman and they were just informed that he will inducted into the Pro Football HOF this summer. Tear jerker moment for Rex Ryan who was around when his dad Buddy was the DC for that great Bears team. Sam Ponder and Randy Moss were both pretty emotional about it too. Just a moving story and since McMichael is obviously incompacitated, but can comprehend things just fine cracked one helluva smile when Richard Dent called and gave them the news. Good things still do happen in this world.

Angel Lopez is the newest 2024 commit for Colorado. He announced his decision earlier tonight, and he'll join the Buffs as a preferred walk-on player. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound defensive back played at Gadsden County High in Havana, Florida. Lopez finished the season with 18 tackles, 9 passes defensed, 2 interceptions (credited on MaxPreps but more show up on his senior film) and a tackle for loss.

Watching his film, he has some good ball skills and good size for a cornerback as well. For now he's coming in to add some depth, and the staff can see where it goes from there. I like his instincts, and there's always a chance someone like him gets an opportunity down the line.
