Buffs NewsStand - Nov 20

Well, I must admit…

Well, as a fan, I must admit I didn’t see this coming. I thought we had two similarly situated teams: undefeated to start the season, multi-week losing streaks, two elite quarterbacks, etc. I really thought CU could hang with the Cougars and maybe pull out a win.

Turns out the Cougs were more disciplined, more motivated, better coached, and tougher and stronger than the Buffs. They certainly wanted it more. And the fans took great delight in the beating their players administered.

Recruiting now will be that much tougher, but the only thing to do is move forward. Onward and upward as they say. A very full plate for a now weakened, and, I imagine, embarrassed, HC and staff.

Bowl eligible teams on 11/19/23 - 67

67 of 82 slots filled. Two teams if there are not enough 6 plus win teams 2 more get in.

RG

I’d like to think RG was going to prove many wrong. That he was already on his way to Sanders office to lay it out for him. CU won’t allow itself to be in a place where we blame players, focus on coaches more than team and we are done with the circus. It’s time to lay out your plan to us for how you will build a long term successful program built around the school and a culture we can embrace.
It’s time to show us this is more than Hollywood and selling products. Time to become the head coach we hired you to be and time to stop being a side show promoter.

I’d love that. He won’t do it and it hasn’t even crossed his mind this morning but damn it’s exactly what a good AD should be doing this morning

IMO, #1 there needs to be a change at OL Coach

I know there was a lack of talent at the OL but O'Boyle simply did not coach these guys up. What can an OC do when the line can't protect or create holes for the run game? The play against UCLA where three linemen were blocking nobody sums up this line perfectly. So this is the biggest change I am looking for during the offseason.
