Apple WWDC 2023 happening tomorrow

The only reason I bring this up is because of a comment I read recently.

Interesting question asked of John Canzano in his weekly Mailbag column:
Q: Should we be watching the Apple Worldwide Developer’s Conference on June 5 for a Pac-12 development? It was at these developer conferences where Apple announced the broadcasting of MLS and MLB in the past. Seems like the right kind of timing. — @Al_Avina

A:
It’s an interesting thought. I’ll tune in.

Tomorrow could be the day we find out if Apple is going to be the Pac 12's media partner (or one of them).

TE Eric Olsen and LB Eoghan Kerry leaving team

Daily Camera article today mentioned that these 2 are leaving the team. They will remain in school and retain their scholarships but have no connection to the program. Note: per the NCAA rules for aid when there is a new HC, these 2 scholarships will not count against the NCAA limit.

Personally, I had high hopes for both of these kids when originally signed as they were 2 of the more highly ranked and regarded recruits. Obviously, our TE group just got even thinner. Can Passarillo & Fauria (if even healthy) really be a factor in this offense?

Buffs NewsStand - Jun 9/10

Great read if you susbscribe

Pretty much right on to me. 3-4 wins is a big improvement and that’s likely the best they have

No depth anywhere except CB but some new key pieces to start

2 blue chippers last year - now they have 15

Secondary loaded but not one other position proven or not a concern save QB and no depth there

Most of what came here isn’t better than what left but again 15-16 are big improvements

Total overhaul was overkill but no way they can’t be better

Strategy might work but it won’t be 2023. Lots to like about 2024 and beyond based on recruting

Not rocket science just solid unbiased analysis.

Lincoln (Neb.) Southeast standout big man Bangot Dak has announced his commitment to Colorado today less than a week after being offered by the Buffs. He started to make some noise this spring as an unsigned senior and had planned to do a post-grad year at Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas, but CU offered him as a 2023 recruit and is expected to add him for the upcoming season. He still has plenty of raw elements to his game but is a stout defensive prospect already. This addition should round out the roster for the upcoming season at CU.

So much realignment chatter today

With the BIG Ten still not technically finalized legally, and the Pac not getting close to the deal it needs it seems to be picking up steam. I am not remotley surprised but I am surprised by the sheer number of articles on CU to the BIG XII. That would just be fascinating to me. Two years ago, while knowing the PAC was long since a dead man walking I really couldnt have predicted a move to the BIG XII. I will be really intrigued to watch what other moves happen quickly if indeed CU and 1-3 other teams bolt. Crazy times. Here is just one of the many articles

The Buffs hosted two Texas 2024 big men this weekend for official visits. Houston area four-star power forward Robert Miller made the trek out to Boulder for his OV with the Colorado, and the Buffs have been involved with him for several months now but just offered him a month ago. Texas, TCU and LSU have been some of the other schools in the mix. Oklahoma and Houston are his newest offers alongside his offer from CU.

Alabama, Texas A&M, Kansas State, SMU and Washington State are some schools that offered him last year.

Dallas area center prospect Doryan Onwuchekwa also wrapped up his visit with the Buffs this evening. The three-star recruit is a versatile post player who play inside out and has great length with a 7-foot-3 wingspan. Although he is not ranked inside the Rivals150, he is a prospect who is improving rapidly and could end up seeing more offers come his way by the time the summer evaluation period arrives. Xavier just offered him this week while Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech and New Mexico all came aboard in the last month. Seton Hall and Nebraska are some of his other recent offers.

Colorado has secured a commitment from 2023 defensive back/running back Nahmier Robinson from Skyline High School in Washington. He is the son of former Washington star basketball player Nate Robinson. This is believed to be a preferred walk-on spot at this time. He also had PWO opportunities at Washington and Colorado State plus an offer from Portland State. He's expected to play in the secondary with the Buffs.
