Five-star 2025 receiver Winston Watkins, Jr. has backed off his commitment to Colorado today. He was the first recruit to give the Buffs his pledge after Deion Sanders was announced as the new head coach. Miami hosted him on a visit this fall and it truly does sound like he just wants to continue taking visits and exploring the process versus this decision being related to anything specifically going on with CU this season. I do expect the Buffs to remain in the picture but there will be a host of schools ready to make a push for him as the process moves ahead. It's a tough break for Colorado right now and not great for optics when combined with the losing streak, but there is a long time until the next class signs and several months for the Buffs to get right back in the top spot.

Watkins decided to decommit from Colorado today.

Last year, we lost 43-20 to Arizona and I didn't really care. I didn't really feel anything. Last year at this time, I was more worried about the vote to defund the football team than I cared about wins or losses.

This year, I'm sad at losses. I feel like we can win every game we're in and it hurts when we don't. The simple fact that I care about wins and losses again for this team, makes me happy. The simple fact that we ALL care about this football team enough to actually post on a message board makes me happy, even when we disagree.

I'm happy that we are discussing all the things a real DI Power 5 football team's fans should be discussing. Recruiting, money, NIL, coaching calls, scheme, etc. I'm happy that we are discussing what changes we need to make to finish these 1 score games with a win. After all, there isn't much to discuss when you lose 43-20.

Putting this season into perspective for my own mental health is important because of the high expectations I put on this team. But I still believe. We aren't going to win 8 games this season. But I still believe. I still believe we are moving forward. I still believe in the players we've brought in and the one's that stayed. I still believe in the plan, the recruiting, and the development. I still believe in the fans, even though some fans don't yet believe.

This season isn't over. I'm not giving up on 6 wins. But we can also look toward some great things coming in the future. Like a new scoreboard, a move to the Big 12 with more TV money, a fantastic recruiting class and another wild ride on the transfer portal roller coaster.

Again, the season isn't over, but thank you Coach Prime! I still believe!

Texas A&M to fire Jimbo Fisher today and pay a 75 million buyout. Regents met this week and approved the firing. What a waste of money. Kevin Sumlin had a better record up to now and they paid him lots of money too. Lesson to be learned is don’t hire a coach for more than 5 years.

After four quarters of trading touchdowns, yellow flags flying and fourth-down decisions, Colorado fell to No. 23 Arizona, 34-31, on a 24-yard field goal as time expired Saturday at Folsom Field.
